Massage Etiquette

During a session I may use different techniques, such as massage, accupressure point stimulation, hot stones, cupping, energy work etc...  depending on what I feel is necessary for your body.  If any of these techniques don't feel good to you (painful, too much/too little pressure, or you just plain don't like it) please let me know so I can adjust my technique.

This is your time, your massage.  We are here to heal your body.

Before beginning the massage, we will discuss any health issues and goals you have in mind for the session.  If this is your first massage, please arrive about ten minutes early, so I can explain the process.
Under certain medical conditions, massage should not be given, this is the time to honestly discuss all known medical conditions, and medications taken.  Please keep me informed of any changes in your medical condition with each visit.

After I leave the room, you can undress to your level of comfort.  You can keep as many or as little clothes on as you wish, keeping in mind that the massage will be more effective if I can touch your skin.  Please also remove any jewelry especially rings that you don't want any cream or lotion on.

Get on the table, either face up or face down as we discussed earlier and cover yourself with the sheet.  Let me know when you are ready for me to come in.
I use appropriate draping during all my sessions.  If you get too chilled or to warm, please let me know so I can add a blanket or adjust the room temperature accordingly.

Any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances will result in immediate termination of the session, and Knead 4 Touch Inc. will still hold you liable for payment of the scheduled appointment.

After the massage, I will leave the room to allow you to get dressed in privacy.  When you are dressed you can open the door so we can discuss any issues that came up during your session.  This is also a good time to schedule your next appointment.

If it is necessary to cancel your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise payment for the missed session will be expected before the following appointment.
